Belladonna Lily, Naked Lady or Four Corners of the Earth.......

One flower, many names 😊

I'm talking about the beautiful Amaryllis flower.

I just googled a little about this pretty plant and found these and several other names. The "Four Corners of the Earth" is from Denmark. As it usually has four flowers in a cross position.

This Amaryllis is a common flower for Christmas here in Denmark - like the Poinsettia. So I decided to make myself one.

This beauty is from Maison Gregoria and is made from Red Pearl paper and Dark Green AC Cardstock.

I painted the stamens with a Red and Yellow Acrylic paint and dipped the tips into some Yellow Flock Powder to give them a bit of pollen.

It sure is a time consuming flower to make due to the painting and finessing of the petals but soooo worth it.

This is why Danes called it the "Four Corners of the Earth":

I think I'm going to have a hard time keeping this one 😉 as it has already been admired by several and I do not have time to make more before Christmas. This year I'm putting myself first!
